Well first of all customer service was AMAZING when I ordered my items. They went above and beyond to help me and ensure I had the correct items ordered. Assembling the cage was very easy, my 10 year old pretty much put it together himself. The fleece flippers were sort of tricky. It’s funny, how Snowy and Dusty have this big beautiful cage but hang out in their “kitchen”.
I use a potty pad on top of the fleece flippers in each of the areas where our piggy poos the most. It makes it extremely easy to clean the poos, and gives you an extra day or two between having to flip or launder the flippers. We have one under our curtains, one beneath his hidey hut, and an extra one to replace one of the other two if they get too wet. I think it makes the "cozy" areas more cozy for the piggies as well.
I love to put these under my pigs' water bottles since they always have a slow leak. These do a great job of absorbing the water and keeping the cage liner underneath dry! I also put them under the fleece forests since the pigs spend a lot of time there, making it easier to clean up the feces.
Excellent product. Need to buy more. I use this under my piggy's litter box, yes she likes one spot for potty time. Added a litter box and put this under it for extra security. Works great :)!
These and the hay hammock are 100% worth buying. I have washed the pads probably hundreds of times, and one of my pigs uses them as a bathroom. My pigs are not potty trained, however. I use them where they eat and sleep. It took a few days for the pigs to get used to them, but once they did they loved them.
