    About Bamboo Fabric (Yarn)

    • Bamboo fabric has a natural sheen and softness that feels and drapes like silk but is less expensive and more durable.
    • Because of the smooth and round structure of its fibers, bamboo clothing is soft and non-irritating, even to sensitive skin.
    • Bamboo is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal supposedly because of a bacteriostatis agent unique to bamboo plants called “bamboo kun” which also helps bamboo resist harboring odors.
    • Bamboo fabric is hypoallergenic.
    • Bamboo is highly absorbent and wicks water away from the body 3 to 4 times faster than cotton. In warm, humid and sweaty weather, bamboo clothing helps keep the wearer drier, cooler and more comfortable and doesn’t stick to the skin.
    • The structure of bamboo fibers make bamboo fabrics more breathable and thermal regulating than cotton, hemp, wool or synthetic fabrics.
    • Currently, there are no known genetically modified organism (GMO) variants of bamboo. Let’s hope it stays that way.

    Bamboo Dryer Balls

Everyone knows you CANNOT use dryer sheets OR fabric softeners OR most commercial dryer balls on fleece being used for guinea pig bedding. In fact, you should not use them at all for any of your laundry! They are very toxic -- bad for you, bad for your family and bad for the planet.

    Benefits of Dryer Balls

    • Reduce Dryer Time--Save $
    • Softens fabric, wicks better
    • Reduces static cling

    Size, Color, Weight

Our Bamboo Dryer Balls are approximately 3" in diameter and weigh 3 oz each. Colors will vary since they are hand-dyed.

    How Many to Use?

You should use at least 3 and just leave them in the dryer. Some people use up to 6 or 8 in a load. The more you use, the bigger the benefit in dry time. They absorb water. Bigger washers would benefit from the 6 count.

    How Long Do They Last?

They should last at least a year. They last longer for many people. They shouldn't unravel and the light dye won't run on your clothing or fabric.

    At the Market!

You won't find BAMBOO Dryer Balls ANYWHERE on the net -- except here. We care.

We thought about carrying wool dryer balls, but we can't. Wool production can be barbaric for the sheep. It's an abusive industry.

As an aside, did you know that conventional dryer sheets are frequently coated in beef fat? Yuk.

    Happy to find these

They work well, and I'm so happy to find a non toxic option. I'm not a GP owner- I use these for my own laundry. They do stick to some fabrics, so I don't use them in those loads.
